Go For It

HUGE NEWS! I know a lot of you were
keeping track of my journey through the
Mancrusher Challenge! I apologize for
not getting this sent out earlier but as soon
as the challenge was over, I was leaving
the country and completely forgot to update
you all.

Anyway, I’ve got a big update
but more on that in a second.

In the more than 2.5 years that I’ve been
involved in training athletes I’ve had the
pleasure to train a lot of different people.
I’ve met a lot of different types of athletes
and worked with people trying to obtain
a lot of different goals.

The one thing they all had in common was
that they decided that the status quo wasn’t
enough for them. They decided that they
wanted something greater than what they
had and they went for it.

Unfortunately I’ve also had the opportunity
to meet the other half. And it’s ugly.

I remember the prick who told me to give up.
The people who thought competitive athletes
were more important than people who were
just trying to get in shape. And I remember
the people who told me overweight women
shouldn’t lift weights and should focus on
cardio.

I know those people are in everyone’s lives
in some form or another.

The friend that wants you to stay out late and
drink even though you told them you had
training in the morning.

The ones ordering shit food in front of you
when you told them you were dialing in
your nutrition.

When you said you wanted to start lifting
weights they said it was dangerous.

When you said you wanted to start running
they said it’d be too hard.

They are the ones who act like they have all
the answers and are the first ones to say
“I told you so” if you fail and the last ones
to ever clap for you.

Well I’m here to tell you that those people
don’t matter and what they think is worth
about as much as a Canadian
quarter in a Texas laundry mat.

I don’t care what your goals are.

If you want it, go fucking get it.
If you want to lift weights I will teach you how.
If you want to slim down I will give you the plan to do it.

I don’t care what your goal is because at the
end of the day all goals are equal and if you
need someone in your corner I will be there.
Because I know what it’s like to wake up at
4:30 in the morning to chase down what you
want. To put in the hours, the days, the months,
and the years to get what you want. I know
what it’s like to do that shit alone and how
hard that can be. So if you need someone to
be on your side, I’m here.

With that, I’m going to update you on the Mancrusher Challenge.

22 New Athletes

That means 22 of 31 days this month have
had someone calling us at World’s Best Boot
Camp North Metro or CrossFit Thornton
and told us they wanted to change their lives.
They were tired of where they were in life
and in health and they wanted something better.
