A FEW ANNOUNCEMENTS!

This Saturday we’ll be in two different locations. Lawrence will be holding the second (and last) Pose Running Seminar for CrossFit Thornton’s Endurance Program at the gym from 10am to 2pm. While that fun is taking place, Jeff will be at the Carpenter Rec Center on the east side of the field (NWC of Colorado and 108th) for a park WOD at 10am. It’s been a while since we’ve been able to get outside for a workout! Take advantage of the nice weather this Memorial Day weekend!

Speaking of Memorial Day…we’ll be doing Memorial Day Murph at 9am on Monday. This is a free event. Everyone’s invited! If you’re not familiar with the workout “Murph”, it’s a 1 Mile run, 100 Pull ups, 200 Sit ups, 300 Squats, and another 1 Mile run – for time of course. :) You may partition the pull-ups, push-ups, and squats as needed. If you’ve got body armor or a twenty pound vest, wear it. Don’t be discouraged if you can’t do the entire workout (Not many can). Anyone can do their own version of Murph. The idea is to challenge yourself and do a little more a little faster every year.

And lastly, a reminder that CrossFit Kids classes are beginning at CrossFit Thornton this Summer! The first session begins on June 5th. The kiddos will get to learn basic CrossFit fundamentals as well as the importance of eating healthy. We’re also going to have lots of fun playing games – not video games, but but the running around kind you used to do as a kid! Here’s the link to register.
