January Athlete of the Month
Age: 43 and still going strong!————-Started CrossFit: 2 Years————-Favorite Movement: Squats.
I was adopted when I was 8 by a wonderful parents and have 8 siblings. I have one daughter she’s 19, she’s the love of my life. Love to travel, hiking, dancing, hanging out with friends and anything outdoors stuff.
How has CrossFit changed you?
It makes me want to workout, feeling of accomplishment that I could actually do it
What is your favorite quote or mantra you live by?
“ You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.”
What is your favorite WOD/CrossFit movement?
My favorite movement would have to be squats..
What is your least favorite WOD/CrossFit movement?
Least favorite movements..hmm there’s so many, wall balls.
Athletic/Sports history highlights:
Used to play tag football with my brothers and their friends when I was younger.
How has CrossFit improved your overall wellness?
It’s been rough couple of years personal wise, so CrossFit been a great therapeutic for me and stress reliever.
Advice to new people?
Stick with it, don’t give up!!
