Got Hand Care?
I saw a lot of you talking about hand tears on Monday…time to re-cap some hand care tips!
- Grip the bar with your fingers, not your palm. I know, it’s hard, but it prevents palm tears, which are the toughest to treat and avoid.
- Keep your calluses in check- regularly sand them down with a pumice stone or nail file, and use hot/cold water contrast baths to loosen the dead skin.
- Use tape on known weak spots of your hands (only enough to prevent tears, not as a safety blanket).
- Use chalk during workouts to maintain a dry skin surface.
- Repair tears with Neosporin to help it heal!
