What Is a FLEX Workout?

These workouts are tough! And they are tough to describe. Imagine a bootcamp style workout with all of the toys—kettlebells, ropes, tires, rowers—and you get the picture. But unlike CrossFit, FLEX workouts don’t involve Olympic lifting or super heavy weights. Run similar to a high intensity or circuit style workouts, FLEX workouts are a little bit cardio and a little bit conditioning—so you will find yourself not only having fun but getting into the best shape of your life. Don’t spend one more minute “phoning it in” at your neighborhood 24-hour fitness facility group classes. The FLEX workout truly is a workout unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. The workouts, which run for just about an hour, speed by quickly. Every day the workout is unique, and they will work out muscles you never even knew you had! You will not only have the fitness level you’ve always dreamed of having, but you will also burn a whole lot of calories in those 60 minutes—as many as 900, in fact. We love to mix it up at CrossFit Thornton, so you will see things the average 24-hour fitness place doesn’t usually include in its classes: Tabatas and partner workouts, bear crawls and crab crawls, the occasional obstacle course, with some surprises thrown in by way of athlete or coach’s choice. You will never do the same workout two days in a row. It makes fitness in the Thornton area a whole lot of fun!
